ECHEZEAUX, Grand cru, 2006 : Wonderful nose of fresh fruits, mainly red fruits, with the usual notes of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, grenadine, above which seem to float some spicy hints, giving that wine a lovely perfume, so classy !
As much interesting is the wine on the palate, with a soft attack, next to suavity, a strength so perfectlye controlled, accentuating the finesse of the tannins, as well as the deepness of that wine. The end of that mouth looks like a caress that would generously provide incredible amounts of fruits...Wonderful length where minerality is just showing up.

Issued from vines of 40 y.o., this beautiful "premier cru" has a density and a flesh in accordance. On the nose, some honeyed hints, and a richness as well as a minerality already noticeable.
All this is confirmed and amplified in the mouth where I found a significative mineral aspect, power, and a length which are the traduction of the old vines. Even though already long, it will still develop and amplify it. I estimate its full capacity around 2015, but greedy people who won't be abvle to wait will have lot of fun to taste it now, in its prime and vivid youth, and will appreciate the great aromatic persistance that is now perceptible.
