Who are we ?
1993 was the first vintage to be offered by VINISSIME to its passionate customers, wine lovers, for most of them, hard to please considering the respect due to the elaboration of the bottles that are at the top of what can be made among the world production.
Many vintages have followed this one, but constantly, my process has been the same : Just propose the very best of what is produced in the major french domains.
My close relation with them, as well as the best Chateaux, permitted me to offer unfindable wines, and always at the best price.
My will is essentially based on the maximal quality of the wines I offer. Many are great names, but I also hardly want to regularly offer some I have found and think excellent, sometimes exceptional. It also happened that I write on the quarterly information letter I publish, that I gave my word to pay back the wines that wouldn't have had your agreement, so much I assume my choices, and, support them.
It also happens that I buy one or more barrels of a wine I think remarkable, and ask the winemaker to make a special bottling for me (without fining nor filtration for instance) and ask you to acquire some bottles, with the certainty you will have an unparalleled product.
because I want to pay attention to the true amateur, wine-lover, curious man, epicurean since I look like him.
Publishing a quarterly information letter that we send freely (by air post only) to all those who ask for it, I present the latest wines I have acquired, with, for each of them, a comment made glass in hand (or exceptionnally from barrel when it has not been possible i.e. Romanée Conti...) indicating the organoleptic analysis and the sensorial description.
That's why you won't find any price on my website (except for the the Bordeaux Futures campaign considering the brevity of it) because I estimate that this doesn't correspond to the idea I have of such a noble product. That goes for the great wines as for haute couture, far from a precise context, made of attentions, delicacy, little things, in other word, if you don't surround them with infinite details, they end by loosing their peculiar aura.
In the same state of mind, we never sell any wine to the superstores.
Being lucky enough to work in such a noble sector, moreover with a direct commercial access to the most prestigious names of the French vineyard, It would be so undelicate to squander the jewels I am in charge of.
More than a commercial relationship, it is first, the sharing of a passion that animates me, and I am really glad when my customers call me, sometimes a long time after they have acquired some wines from me, to ask which combination would be appreciable with that or that meal, or even better, what should I drink with such wine ?
Far from disturbing me, this kind of call makes me happy !
In the same state of mind, to help you to make your end of year gifts, I put the highest attention to answer you and give the most extreme personalisation if you want it.
Finally, considering the logistic part of the firm, just know the wines are stored all year long in a special place with controlled heat (maximum possible variation of ONE degree) and free of any light.
